Advising AIPE

AIPE seeks to remain non-partisan and as inclusive as possible. It receives advice from activists from various sectors of Israeli society. It has notably been advised by academics such as Prof. Yifat Maoz and Dr. Zvi Bekerman (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Prof. Daniel Bar-Tal (Tel Aviv University), Dr. Yakir Englander (Hartman Institute), etc.

KNOWLEDGE

Understanding the experience of participants of Israeli Palestinian encounters and map their needs for further engagement on the issue of the conflict

CONTINUITY

Creating a platform to ensure that alumni ‘return on investment’ by transforming dialogue into action & durably engaging on the conflict

Providing alumni with a pool of partners for follow-up initiatives, and engaging them as partners in research to better encounter programs aimed at Israelis

PARTNERSHIP

COMMUNITY

Creating an inclusive community for alumni to connect, lead dialogue within Israel, and find partners for prolonged engagement

Joining the AIPE community

AIPE is recruiting on the internet and through the personal connections forged by alumni in encounter programs. More than 500 alumni have joined AIPE’s closed Facebook group – where they are invited to engage in dialogue and share ideas.

AIPE is currently forging partnerships with the directors of the major Israeli-Palestinian encounter programs: the Center for Humanistic Education at the Ghetto Fighters’ Museum, the Peace NGOs Forum, the Youth Peace Initiative, Kids for Peace, the Paths to Peace Program at NYU, and the New Story Leadership for Middle East in Washington DC.
